Good news. Thanks for the info. Chinese channels have been very popular amongst the Chinese community in NA. I always recommend they get a motorized system to allow them to receive channels from several satellites.
I was rechecking SatMex 6. Now has FTA: CCTV4, ET TV, ET News, 2 Phoenix channels, ATV, the other 2 budda channels. However, you need to rescan using the "ALL" not "FTA" mode since these channels are in the "$" column even though it is clear.

It seems that these channels are the same as on SatMex5
I wonder if Lyngsat has been updated with those channels for SatMex 5 and 6...

Yes it was:SatMex 6 at 113.0°W - LyngSat, check "TP19K", 12080 H.
Satmex5 had that lineup before at 12080 H too, but now it is gone, and Lyngsat does not show them
Ok, yes, I see SatMex 6 got updated in Lyngsat...
Earlier you said that SatMex 5 had the same Chinese channels, but now you say those channels are gone (basically they moved from SM5 to SM6), right?
Yes, the chinese content on SatMex5 is GONE. However, there are a few EXTRA channels that I have not seen before on SatMex5 but is now on SatMex6. They are CCTV4 (but I already have that on G3), ATV (great cantonese channel from Hong Kong), GDTV (just showing text right now), ETTV AMERICA, ETTV GLOBAL, ETTV CHINA. SUN-TV has been gone and replaced with a "VIDEOJET" logo. What is the same is the 2 Phoenix channels, MAC (Taiwan), the 2 budda channels, and IFTV (christian chinese).
SatMex6 is definately where most of the chinese content is right now, more than G3 and IA5 (NTD).
In addition to CCTV4, I WISHED they would have added CCTV9 and CCTV E&F to "complete the package."
That would save me from having to point to 95w to get those "top 3 channels." ehehheh....
