Ah nuts! We're losing Chinese channels regularly....

Too bad we cant trade in those many many Arabic channels for a few Chinese or Vietnamese ones.. heheh.. d'oh!

Yeah.. I know...

I wonder why many of these FTA channels/broadcasters dont use (more) advertising (online or something) to help pay for the cost to broadcast on a satellite, much like what's done with local channels that we get OTA for free...

I mean many websites for free for viewing (like CNN, etc) because they have ads on those pages.. why cant the same paradigm be used for FTA? d'oh.

most of them do advertise. but they are not up there for us just hoping they will be able to sell their programing to dish, direct,or globecast.

I've never seen before so much commertials (and all for local businesses!) as on some FTA channels. However, other some are sponsored by governments and have no commertials.
