They have threatened all sorts of things for a long time. One year ago they said everything was going to be scrambled, and now 4 of the channels are still FTA. They might move to Dish Network, but does Dish Have the Room on there satellites?
These channels are currently on Dish Network listed under an international package. Maybe Iskycom is waiting for the G10R contract/subscription to end before pulling the channels. I hope this is not the case, I just ordered a dish to point to G10R to get the FTA Korean channels.
Any further word on these channels? I too just ordered a complete system so my wife could watch her Korean TV. Anyway to subscribe to just these channels if their status changes?
No new information I have seen. Just have seen the commericals about ordering from Dish or whatever service they are on for almost $40.00 dollars a month. WOW!!!!. I do not know if they offer "backyard" subscriptions. T5 has KISB 1, 2 and 3 still FTA at this time. Also on T5 is TAN subscription $20.00 a month. They did not send me my bill, or it got lost in the mail and the "smartcard" is not so smart anymore. As long as the others are FTA I don't need the subscription. Will have to play the waiting game and see if I have to call TAN and resubscribe to their "backyard" service if the other stations go scrambled.
I don't think Sadoun realise the problem yet...
I think it's good idea wait to buy the system to watch G10R untill 9/24 for those who plan to buy a new system...
Same as others, if all the channels goes away from G10R then I'm gonna point my dish to T5 for MBCs...
Hope all the channels will stay after 9/24 on G10R...
I saw MBN-CNBC is still free in www.lyngsat.com. But I can't see this channel in my receiver. Someone who knows how to get this chennel, please give me instructions.
You are out of luck here. DishNetwork does not allow user to subscribe their service using "third-party" recievers. You must use DishNet receiver to sub to their service.
