G3C, IA5 from washington dc -- S1 system or M1 system
hi,
it seems that most chinese fta are on those two satellites. so, if i just want to be able to watch those, do i need a motorized system? so if i dont get a motorized system, does that mean i need to adjust the satellite each time i want to watch channels on the other one?
G3C and IA5 is next to each others, by twisting left or right about 1/16 of inch on your dish you will get to one of those. motorized is recommended, but if you can set your dish which is easy to access, ( on the ground of your backyard, etc....) hand turning is another alternative. i do that . :mozilla_foot:
Easier to get 2 dishes and a DiSEqC switch... :mozilla_wink:

Sadoun doesn't seem to sell them but other suppliers have $15 LNBF brackets that you can use to get those two satellites on one dish. I plan to do that on my Winegard 76cm which I can use to tune one or the other by leaning on the mount! Search the web for "LNBF offset bracket."
Duct tape is another option... naturally you need to purchase another LNBF and a DiSEqC switch but it sure beats having two large dishes.
