I just purchased and installed the complete system with fortec star dvb-786v3 and 80cm Fortec Star offset dish.
I pointed the dish to Galaxy 10R, which is the satellite that I want to watch, and I only got 74% of signal and 0% of quality. But when I pointed the dish to Telestar5, I got about 83% of signal and 55% of quality.
I have a friend who lives lives in the area, about 10 miles away from my house, and he's able to lock Galaxy 10R without any trouble. And the only difference is that he has a bigger dish, about 90cm.
Is it possible that Galaxy10R's signal is less stronger than Telestar5? Should I get a bigger dish?
Thanks
Your dish size is good enough for Florida. Make sure when you go to channel search menu t:
~ Select Galaxy10R satellite
~ Search Mode: Auto ALL
~ TP Data: Select TP7 or TP8 (11920)
