n00bie question about FTA

OK. So I guess I should look before I leap. A friend of mine is Half korean, and his mom was spending all of this money renting Korean movies at a local rental shop, and all of the stuff was really old. I did a little research on FTA stuff before, but never really got into it. So I apparently didn't do as much research as I needed to. I bought her a system that came with a 30" dish, and went over one weekend and started hooking it up. I wanted to get Telstar 5, but apparently a 30" dish will not get that sat from Oklahoma, and the guy I bought the sat system from didn't care to mention that to me. So then I aimed it at Galaxt 10R (I think, it has been several months but it was the sat that had the most korean channels at the time that I could get with a 30" dish) after several hours of trying to get Telstar5. We'll she was pretty happy as she got 2 channels that actually interested her. We'll I guess those channels went out maybe a month ago. My question is this, what do I need to do so that she can get her Korean channels again? I can get the brand ot STB that she has if needed. I saw someone else mention that you can get a subscription that seemed to be pretty cheap. Like I said she is spending maybe $300 a month on VHS tapes now, and would be perfectly fine with paying $10 - $50 a month for a service that would always work. Thanks for your time.
