Please, need help getting korean channels on G10R.

I did not have a problem getting Korean TV before the frequency and symbol change. I reset the frequency to 11951 and symbol to 13846. Now I cannot get yellow bars and therefore no signal. All the other transponders that were working before are still working. My LNB type is set to normal and frequency 1 & 2 set to 10750. Did the frequency and symbol change weaken the signal? My reciever is a BEC 6600+. Please, can someone supply an answer. Thank You.

I didn't even bother to change the previous TP. I just left it alone in the event that something else went to it later. I added a new TP using the TP add/edit menu on my receiver. You may want to try that.
The signal that I get is just as strong as before.

I'm having the same problem just as you. My channels are showing up with a NO SIGNAL sign. Checked the cables. Btw, I have the same receiver model as you as well. I inputed the new frequency and symbol rate, but can't get the signal strength or quality to ever change to yellow. They are just white and never change.

Does anyone know if there is anything else you have to do other than simply inputting the new values?

From what some are mentioning here in other posts, it seems just inputting the new values have done the trick. Is it possible that some adjustment is required with the dish itself?

For the latest technical data on frequency and symbol rates, check out www.lyngsat.com; it is a great source of information. The charts are updated daily - anything in yellow marked DVB is free-to-air and should be obtainable on the BEC 6600 receiver.

FYI: there are 3 Korean channlels on Telstar 5; 1 is free all the time and the other 2 alternate between free and encrypted.

Thnx kat, but I want to stick to the Galaxy 10R as it has 6 channels apparently for free atm.

My only problem is figuring out what I have to do to get the channels back. I haven't touched the dish at all and have ONLY altered the frequency, symbol rate and FEC as posted at lyngsat. I'm wondering if that's all you have to do, or if the dish needs to be physically re-aligned or something to that effect.

There are some here who seem to have simply changed the values to gain their channels back, while others are experiencing the same or similar problems as I. My signal strength and quality doesn't seem to do anything but sit at white.....which means I'm not capturing the signal.

Please someone who has already gotten it to work....could you please outline in detail the steps you've taken.

by the way bobkat there is another Korean channel on t5.
TAN (the asian network -12084) is also Korean.
It has been known to occasionally go free for a weekend or so every now and then.
I programmed it in and check it every now and then.

To further complicate the situation :lol: now that I have installed my HH100 STAB motor I found even more Korean channels !! The only problem is I forget which bird they were on. I'm going to play around today some more - will post my results later.

BTW: for anyone thinking of getting a motor - DO IT !! You won't regret it; it really opens up the Ku band to free channels you never dreamed were there. Installation is a breeze if you follow Sadoun's detailed instructions on this site - I did and aligned that puppy on the arc first try; I amazed myself !!
