Someone can confirm if cantonese chinese chanal "GONGTONG" is really free on SATMEX 5 at 116.8 W? Checking in LINGSAT.com, it's not a free chanal. Thanks in advance.

    Hi everyone,
I am new to the satellite world, and just joined this forum today. I am anxiously to learn from everyone.

My first question ever to this forum is:
Can I receive free Chinese channels from both G3C and T5 at the same time with one set of equipment since they are so close to each other (95W and 97W)?
My set up is - disk (long axis: 100 cm, short axis: 90 cm)
    LNB (Invacom SNH-031)
Reciever (PROSAT P-8800 Digital Satellite Receiver DV3)

If it is possible, any guidance on how to set it up is very much appreicated!

the easiest way would be to add a motor to your dish so you can see other sats.the problem of using 2 lnbs for sats this close is to get the right alignment.

    Rainman,
    Thanks for the reply.
Since I do have a second Ku-Band LNB (and a second disk), I would like to try 2 LNB method first. Do you know where I can find instructions on how to set up 2 LNBs on 1 disk to receive signals from 2 satellites?

Also, would it work if I set up two disks, one aims at IA5 and one aims at G3C, and use a simple cable single A-B switch to conncet to my sat. receiver?

    Thanks much!

the 2 dish method would be the best do to trying to get 2 lnbs close enough to receive to sats 2 degrees apart.
