Does that include CCT9 and CCTV E&F? or is it just CCTV4? IS there a reason why they are leaving G3C? Are they moving somewhere else?

Reading the link it appears that the Chinese feel Americans are stupid enough to pay for their propaganda. It's very entertaining television, but it's still propaganda. There's a U.S. number to call in the link, so I recommend that all of us respectfully voice our dismay. CCTV was one of the main reasons that I would have ever considered visiting or investing in China. Apparently they are run by a government agency on a limited budget. Pity. They have some very good talent. Fox should do so well!

That sucks.... CCTV was one of the main reasons why I got into FTA at all. d'oh!
Did they run out of funds to beam those signals?

嫦娥飞月，银河落地！
实在不明白“适应电视数字化进程”的意思。为什么台湾的宏观台不撤退银河3C卫星呢？假如邓小平胡耀邦尚在 ，大慨不会发生此类不利于祖国和平统一，伤害北美地区通过银河3C卫星（Galaxy-3C）接收免费CCTV节目的观众的感情的事吧？！这应不是央视送给北美地区华人观众的圣诞新年礼物？历史 将会告诉我们是谁取消隔断祖国母亲和海外游子的TV 情结。

My wife pointed out that going to the subscriber channels is probably going to earn them a larger audience since FTA is not a big audience in the U.S. If they are getting revenue for the feed, then they will do even better. I'm going to miss CCTV-9 (english) since it was really inspiring me to visit China. There is no way that I'm going to subscribe to a pay service for one channel. It would be nice if they could at least keep the english language feed up over the U.S.

CCTV4 and 9 is also available free as a streaming video on their websites. You do need broadband for it to come out right.
