kinguyen is on a distinguished road
I don't have any issues with weather where i'm from. I may have some issues with installing the new equipment i'm getting soon. Never had any experience with a SG-2100 motor before. I've been reading the HH motor thread, if any problems expect to here from me.

Well I've got $7000 worth of winter fun equipment (snowmobiles, skiis, snow-shoes, etc) still waiting for winter.

I live right on a feeder trail for a major snowmobile trail that normally could take me all across the state of Maine, or even into NH or Canada, but there has been so little snow the last couple years that it's just been sitting idle. Actually, we don't go very far, usually just 10-20 miles to go out to lunch or something, but we haven't even been able to do that. At least there has been enough snow to go around the trails in my back yard, and it's been cold enough to get out on the nearby lake. But I'd sure like to see some snow before winter goes away.

The cold weather has been rather annoying for the satellite system though, because my aging Ajax H-H is really hard to move in the cold weather. 2 Weeks ago it took me more than an hour to move from IA7 to AMC3. (Ie it would move 2 degrees, then trip some circuit breaker in the receiver, and I'd have to wait for 5 minutes to go 2 more degrees, etc. I can do it faster if I go outside and push the dish while my wife runs the remote, but she's getting tired of doing that. Last summer, I thought I had found the problem (an over-tight bolt), but apparently that wasn't the cause of the problem. I may have to take the darn thing apart, which will mean taking the dish down.... which I really don't want to do. For now, I just only move the dish on warm days.

I'd trade you the 6" of snow for BUG season here. :-) Those black-flies just ruin late spring here. Just when you feel like walking around in the woods after it dries up from MUD season, those darn things come out, and you can't go outside.
Only thing I like about when it starts to warm up from winter is MAPLE SYRUP season. I usually boil down a gallon or two each spring. Although I usually collect the sap in my snowmobile, so I guess I'll have to walk this year. That, I'm NOT trading.

It's a lot of work, but you can make your own if you have a few trees.

ready for spring

i lived up in the northeast for most of my life, i moved to florida and never looked back. i was out in shorts setting up my fta system i got for the holidays. snow, cold and windchill factors are just a distant memory. i'll take tornados and hurricanes over the six months of frozen hell any day. so i understand how much people look forward to the spring when you live up north. i always hated getting shocked by everything when the air is SO dry, and the car door lock iced over. oh yeah baby! today it was 72 degrees. sorry to boast.
