Saw Jim Bakker on TV!

Wow, finally got G10 in yesterday .. sitting there surfing .. up to 40 or so stations, .. and Poof! there's Jim Bakker ! No, no, no not the crafty old politician (last name Baker ... Iraq-Study-Group fame) .. but good old Jim Bakker of Jim and Tammy fame!

Hey, he looked pretty good ... healthy ...

Well, I was never a big fan of his, but got to admire his "staying power" ...

I believe he and TF divorced some time ago ... but she was on a radio program I heard ... doing some outreach and such.

Then another channel had Jack LaLanne on! I remember he yanked a barge ( ...?) or a tugboat across the Hudson with only a rope in his teeth while he swam??

He's still going strong ... I think he's 80-ish ... amazing physique ..

... surprised he made it that far after swimming in the Hudson .. (hehehe) we all did that as kids (from N.J.) ... and aw man, ..that was some strange water back then (50's) ... I think here were a lot of heavy metals and surfactiods and liquid pepto-bituminates in the river then!

Hey Rumproat ! - you been living under a rock or something ????

Wake up early some Sunday AM, like 5:30am and channel surf your regular stations, I'm sure you'll come across ole' Jim Baker sans a lot of hair from when he was on long ago with PTL & Tammy.
He's been around since he got out of jail. Up to the same or similar tricks, but much more subdued these days.

As far as Jack, if you saw him it was probably touting his food juicer on an infomercial, right??

Yeah, that's the great thing about G10R--not only do you get to watch the old TV shows, you get to see the old (and I do mean old) TV personalities!

I miss Tammy "I apply makeup with a caulk gun" Faye.

Aw man, but I can't surf local ... or regular channels .. that's why I got a dish ... somehow where we are, I only get, like 2 or 3 channels.

Yes, "Jack" was wheelin' and dealin' some juicer gadget!

The thing I remember most about Jim Bakker was way back when, and he and Tammy did that show .. and she looked unreal!

Everytime I saw her, with her lavish makeup, .. I somehow began to think about clever ways to apply caulk ... or weatherstripping ... or stuff like putty .... she'd make a good glazier!

Is that a toupee Jim Bakker's sporting now? That hair looks far too manicured to be authentic ..
