Red face New to FTA

I don't have FTA but would like to give it a try... I was promised a Brazilian station by Direct TV. After 30 days from installation and many hours on the customer support line, I decided to cancel my subscription. I got stuck with the dish and a $300 cancelation fee. I wrote them a letter describing my dilemma, but do you think they would understand? They're in the business of making busine$$...

Anyways, is there a chance I can use the Direct TV dish with an FTA receiver?

The direct tv dish is to small for FTA you will need at least a 80 or 90 cm dish. and welcome to the forums.

GONZO is on a distinguished road
Hi,
My name is GONZO and am a newbie at FTA.
I'm a retired telecom tech that is trying to hook up 5 Birds to 4 FTDs.
Can someone point me in the right direction to post my questions and hopefully get a reply to my requests?
Thanks!!!

Hi. Dave E. here in N L Rock AR. Bought a new Fortec setup from Sadoun, 1M dish, DG380 motor, QPH031 LNBF and a 22khz switch, with the Mercury II receiver. Of course, being unfamiliar with FTA and been a long time since I installed a 10' C band dish with a HH mount, I am having problems. The first time I tried to get the dish to move to 91° (I am at 92.2°) it went to the extreme east position and stopped by the limiter. That's where it still is. I can't get it to respond to any method of going back to zero or any other satellite. I have 13vdc to the motor and can hear relay clicking when try the east or west incremental move buttons, or control from the receiver. Also, how do you know if you need to download new firmware? Any help will be appreciated. Regards

Dave E

Red face Odd Fellows Children Screening Clinc

We just held a screening clinc and have 6 applications for the Shrevepot Shriners Hospital. We have been very busy. Shreeners , Masonic and the Odd Fellows with their ladies working together. We had parents that said I did not know that so many adults cared about children and their health. We do care and we want others to know there is a way to get help for certain health conditions. We are the only ones--Odd Fellows that will accept ladies as members. We started out about a year ago with 2 members and now we have just under 25. We are workers and doers.
I go into the hospital Friday for upper spine work. I put this off so we could concentrate on childrens needs. My pain is constant so I am hoping for success in this operation. I have a few pinched nerves that need a spacer to releive this condition. I spend too much time in b ed and I will admit my free to air is not functioning. I have fell b ehind on so much work but I will return and start asking selly questions.

Hi Everyone!

I'm a frustrated FTA stationary satallite installer for 97W (Galaxy 25) and need help. I'm sure this question has been answered many times before. Any good forum page anyone can refer me to?

Hello

I'm just getting started in a new hobby and have a question about the equipment I'm looking to get. I have a Twinhan 1028 pci card in a Vista 64 computer. I'm looking at the Fortec 31 w/ the Invacom QPH031 lnb. Which switch would be the best. Would the DS21C allow both circular and linear on the card?
