Thanks to Sadoun for the lightning fast shipment of my new Fortec dish and motor (ordered Thursday Oct 26th - Received Monday Oct 30th). I am brand new to "free to air" (don't my azimuth from a hole in the ground) so questions will probably be forthcoming. I finished the physical part of installing the dish today and hope the alignment goes smooth (yeah, right), but am still waiting for my coolsat 5000 to be delivered. I'm about 25 miles N. of San Antonio, TX in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas.

Just found forum, and seems like a friendly, insightful environment. I have a 3 year old Directv system (2 RCA receivers), and will be moving to a new home about 100 miles away (Albemarle, NC). New home has TWC, and a nude mast, from where the existing dish was removed when cable was installed. Considering both Dish and Directv. TWC is an option, as my land line does not support DSL, so high speed internet will have to be either RR or via satellite.

This site has good information, some of which I comprehend, as I tweeked my Directv dish after new roof was installed last year. I have about three weeks before I will be in the new house, so am trying to make up my mind on which service to use, and buying versus leasing. No HDTV right now, but it is imminent for the new house.

Smile Just another newbie

I'm replying to your invite to say Hello here. I think this is my second time on this total forum. I bought my dish, LNB, motor from Sadoun this year. One question I'm curious about is thei forum software...it appears the same as another forum organization with different colors. Is it made by the same company/service? The proper posting placements are still a mystery to me.

If I see a subject that I need to learn more about and post a reply question in that thread it appears to be a wrong placement. Like a new question is supposed to be a new post to a new thread, I think. I guess I don't understand how it impacts on the search function and the listings of titles to attract replies.

If you can explain or point me to an explanation, advise

Thanks

Hola amigos Hello friends

My name is Wilo I am from Peru, but I am leaving in Atlanta,GA since 2003 I am a branch manager in Sun Trust Bank.

I get involved in this forum, because I want to learn about satellite TV, my target is get connection to a Satellite Amazonas at 61 west. My big concern is about the BEAM , because they said the beam is pointing toward South America... do you guys think I can get connected...

You can see my complete script about my question in...

Best regards

Wilo

the easiest way is to hit the quote button on the bottom right of the post you want to reply to.or if you want to reply in general just hit the reply button at the bottom left. welcome to the forums.
