Greetings
Hello all. Brand new here and first attempt at BUD FTA. Having a great
time, learning lots, but so much more to learn. The nice folks at Sadoun
have been very helpful in upgrading from an old analog Toshiba 2220 receiver to the Mercury II. Looking forward to enjoying more FTA.

hi.... members I am newbie never had any experience about satellite FTA.
I just bought FTA receiver Sonicview SV-8000HD V2, 90 cm dish similar to fortec dish, Invacom QPH-031 LnBf, and SG2100 HH motor.
my location here is LATITUDE:33.477 , LONGTITUDE: -112.284
ELEVATION: 33.5 AZIMUTH (TRUE) 180, AZIMUTH(MAGN) 168.5
SKEW: 5.4
I dont have any idea what those are means? i just plug - in my address on Dishpointer.com and give me that info.
Anyway maybe this question goes to INSTALLATION thread!

Rainman and you other professionals please be alert as soon as my back heals and time is available I will make another--stab at hooking up. I know it should be already going but with other irons in the fire and my lack of understanding good english I just set with no free to air. I did send in my 922 to have it repaired, so I am almost ready. Since you have been warned of my coming back with questions please do not run away.

Just ground 1 - better still, ground the switch itself.

I am a PROCRASANATOR
Or whatever, I just continue to be to busy to set my dish and it is mainly because I am in doubt as to what I am doing. All my life I never took this direction un til now and I do not know why. I do have another big project that I am working on and I need to wait and see what direction it goes. I am involved with raising money for a large retirement home, I may fail but I need to work this out to see if it will suceed. Thanks for your thoughts.
