Hi there,
Well simply put I finally got well enough to get back here since I joined back in 2004.
I got some great stuff from Sodoun over a year or two ago and now am able to set it up and actually use it.
My story is simple I'm 47 and have been tracking Sat's for a long, long time.
I got my first taste in Turkey at the age of 23 on a Radar base for GE, and DOD hence the "Space-Tracker " reference. Life has dealt me some curves i.e Colon Cancer(2006) but I'm all good now and have been glad to come back here and post and read all the stuff I have been missing.
Great site and forum not like some of the garbage that the net is full of these days.

im here because i guess c-band is gone and i still have a 6 ft. small mesh perfect 10 in my yard pointed at the sky and want to use it again.i was talkin about this at work 1 day and a friend of mine told me about free to air he gave me his old sonicview and said "here ya go see if you can make this work"lol..ive read a lot on these forums and it seems that it will work.i have an advantage in that i already have a dish pointed at the sky in the right place and my old Tracker 40 to drive the dish. it is motorized as i upgraded a fixed G-5 dish system back in the days of c-band glory. im kinda handy with my hands and not incapable of learning but this is all new to me..from what i can glean from all this is that it will work and the Invacom is the best lnb on the market and as im using a 6 foot mesh dish i may need the best i can get.....will the qph-031 work or do i need the qpf for prime focus and is this my best all-around choice?these gather all the signals available,right?both linear and circular?is that a bit too much and all i need is a simple lnb because it is a 6 footer and not an 18 inch. it is a little confusing as there seems to be a lot of opinions out there.thanks to all in advace for the help...go steelers!!!
