Hola Amigos!!

Jointed this neat site because I need advice on setting up C-Band reception in deep South Texas, on the Mexican Border. While I have been using Pansats for quite a while, I'm totally unfamiliar with C-Band. My wife (who speaks no English) wants to watch religious channels from PAS9 which are on C-Band. Will a 6' dish do? What LNB? I will buy here but don't want to buy something that won't do.

Thanks to everyone. Regards. Replies in Spanish are OK.

I have a 7.5 mesh and receive great quality off Pas-9. A bigger dish is better, but as strong as a signal as i receive,I beleive you should do pretty good.I have a 6ft. I'm going to put up later. As far as lnbs most people like norsat brands but, some others on this forum may chime in with some cheaper ones they've had good results with. Look for one in the 3.7-4.2 range and be sure to set your lo to 5150 in the menu for cband on the pansat.I hope this helps you some and again, welcome and good luck.

I agree with satnutwillb on the norsat seems to be the best lnb for c band at this time. and keep us updated on your progress.

Checking in

Many thanks for your quick replies. I will order the dish in the next few
days. I will shop for the LNB on E-Bay. I will post results in two or three
weeks. Happy Easter to all. Some of you might know that everything comes to a grinding halt during Holy Week in Mexico.
