Where to advertise

We would like to reach more potential customers. What media outlets (newspaper, magazine, newsletter, website, etc) should we advertise on? List only legitimate outlets.

The way I found Sadoun was thru Monitoring Times Magazine, I have subscribed to this Mag. for years. It's a great Mag. on communications and they do some articles on satellite's.

Home Power magazine. Technically savvy and self-sufficient folks. I strongly agree with Jim about Monitoring Times magazine.

These are two good magazine. I like Home Power a lot. I have bought their CD/DVD of back issues. One of the best magazine on alternative home power in the world.

What would you suggest we advertise in these magazines?

I would suggest rural newspapers. These folks don't get cable or OTA TV. They would definately benefit from a FTA dish.

I agree with this one but what about franchising? Just a thought. Get more people out there pushing your name. You collect in inventory and franchise fees. Any of the non english language publications. Coming from a dual language household I would suggest looking into Univision & Telemundo. Nationwide Spanish language channels but you want the ones used on DN. The FTA channels are already being viewed on a FTA system or OTA

I had a difficult time starting into FTA (until I found this forum) because there are no current and relevant publications to guide a newbie. I recommend proposing an article. You might have to be "ecumenical" and mention other OEMs and the like, but it would foster an interest in the hobby and technology.

You could also address, and discourage the hackers out there... Be careful though since they are not below dirty tricks.

Home Power folks are technically savvy and independent, so they may prefer FTA. You might also ask if they have a lot of subscribers out of CONUS that would appreciate the foreign programming...

I don't think I've ever seen HP do a survey of their readers to see what their native languages are... There's an angle.

Wishing you well,

Al
