    Toshiba to exit HD DVD, end format war-NHK

    TOKYO (Reuters) - Toshiba Corp is planning to stop production of equipment compatible with the HD DVD format for high-definition video, allowing the competing Blu-Ray camp a free run, public broadcaster NHK reported on Saturday.

    I'm glad I waited.

    I bought BetaMax years ago, falling for the "superior technology" claims.

    Not going to go thru that again!

    Glad to see SONY's Blu Ray technology win. Now, I hope the Blu Ray DVDs will go down in price.

    I am not sure if PS3 will go back up in price or down because of more demand?
