Recently I traveled to Las Vegas to visit the CES 2008 show.

Bellagio:
Lobby is nice
Shops are expensive and mostly fashion brand names
I would recommend the buffet at Bellagio.
Rooms are clean and modern.
Room service is excellent

Luxor:
Nice entrance & Lobby
Rooms are so so.
I would avoid the buffet at Luxor.

Paris:
Call-in ticket office is slow to process show tickets. I would recommend getting your tickets well in advance.
Theater is so so

Monorail:
Convenient and fast to and from the LV convention center.
$5 a ticket one-way (expensive). I would recommend the hotel FREE shuttle bus to the LVCC or Sands.

I like Key West in "off season" (early June/July). Not as busy and just a fun laid back place to chill and relax (plus I have Hyatt timeshare so I have to justify the cost somehow )

I have never been to South FL, but I heard the keys are the place to go for water sports and snorkeling. Is that right?

Vitruvius will become famous soon enough
the nicest City

The most beautiful city I have ever been to is Sydney, Australia. Great any time of year. It has a wonderful harbor and great vegetation. I did not see any banana trees though...

One of the cities that I like is Hong Kong. It is very modern, but still very traditional as well. Many shopping malls, restaurants of all kinds, and nice entertainment.

The view of the harbor is nice. Imagine having 7 million people living in a city smaller than Columbus, OH. The Subway system is fantastic. Taxi fairs are cheap. Also riding the ferry boat between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon is only like $0.25 each way.

Areas to visit while in Hong Kong:

The Peak
Star Ferry
Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon
Disney
Fish Market
Temple Street Night Market
Any mall is a good mall in HK
Ocean Park

Hong Kong: Get place to get a tailor made suit. It is faster using subway crossing over to HongKong than by ferry. Horse track is fun too. Too many restaurants to count, but there is just about anything you want. There is alot of buddist temples to visit. The big one is on Lantu island with the huge statue at the top of the mountain. There are also some great museums, like the one inside Chinese University, you need to take the train up there in Kowloon.

South Florida/ Florida keys: A lot of t-shirt shops. Glass bottom boats are fun. Deep sea fishing is popular, but bring along your motion sickness pills.

Las Vegas: How do you get a penthouse room for free? Just deposit $100k in cash in one of the main casinos, let them know you are a "whale". The shows are continuing getting more expensive. Celine Dion tickets used to $100 and now the are $200 the last time I went. She should stick to singing and leave the dancing to the cast. If you gamble, get one of those guest cards to rack up the comps. The roller coaster in the sky is fun, but I would not go again.

The Landmark is the old fort, across the street from the oldest city in the US. Another place to visit if you are there is the fountain of youth, you even get to sample that water, but its a little high on the sulfer content judging from the smell. There is also a winery. One of the few that makes wine and sparkling wine from florida grapes. After a couple of free samples, I found myself buying a dozen bottles.

Hi.....We have been going to Naples Florida nice area (brother lives there) its a warm place to go in the winter (from Mi). Also Marco Island and Everglade City are near by very neat. The Panhandle is good but it has to be visited in warmer months. In the summer we like northern Michigan, Traverse City, Mackinac Island just anywhere in the northern area of lower Michigan. Oh, by the way I have been in Columbus and Dublin Oh just a plug.

I haven't been to Traverse City or Mackinac Island, but I heard they are most beautiful in the summer time to visit. The farthest Noth I have been in MI was Grand Rapids. I used to work at GM in MI in the early nineties.

I was born in Grand Rapids Mi and for a short time (over forty years ago) I worked a Diesel Equipment GM but only for four years. Yup Northern MI is beautiful in the summer or winter if you like SNOW.
