    First Channel

Just wondering if anybody can remember the first channel you lock onto when installing your first satellite system. For me it was Telemundo on G4 c band analog back in the early 90's.

For me I guess it would have been DIRECTV - back in '97 when DirecTv was still "sort of" legal in Canada. That was my first - took me 4 hours to complete the install... LOL

I can't remember what I first found on MY dish, but a couple weeks before I put mine up, a co-worker installed the same dish I bought, and I'm pretty sure that we found one of the ABC or CBS network feeds on T-301 or T-302. I likely tried to find the same thing when I set mine up a couple weeks later.
I do remember being quite skeptical that we'd find ANYTHING, and was amazed when the channels came in crystal clear.
