New flash thing to left of page
I notice that the forum pages have been changed via the addition of a Flash menu to the left of the page. This *could* be very handy, however it would be better if it wasn't a flash menu.
Reason is, when various topics come up in messages, it is often handy to go to one of the sales pages to get info about the product under discussion, and without the new menu, one had to go through the link at the top, and surf down to get to the proper category, so this new menu saves steps. However since it's a flash menu, you can't right click and open up a separate window or tab. You pretty much have to bring up the page over the top of the response window you're working on. It would be much handier if it were a regular menu that allowed you to right click and bring up the sales category in another tab. I know the flash thing is cute, but it's counter-productive.

Have you noticed the satellites and space junk flying by when you hover over a menu selection?
Good point Bill. Flash is kinda lacking when it comes to right clicking. I wish Adobe would fix that in the future.

I find it irritating in it's current configuration. I am here for the forum, the website is Sadoun Satellite Sales ( 1-888-519-9595 ) Sadoun is a dealer and distributor of satellite television systems and consumer electronics. Dish Network, DirecTV, World TV, Free To Air, Satellite Radio and more It is forcing the content of the forum to the right and the side scroll of the Sadoun site continues. I have no idea what resolution the designer of this site is running but the rule of thumb (unless the rule changed) was 605 pixels wide. From there you can use JS or server side scripting to scale a site according to user resolution but 605 pixels works everywhere in every browser.
Perhaps configuring in a horizontal layout across the top or bottom of the page and bringing the width of the forum back to normal.

The forum pages are scalled at 100% width. So, if you open a small window or your screen resolution is low, you will still see the forum adjusting its width accordingly.

Your settings are in % but what is the min pixel width of the page? The % setting only scales up when there is additional area available and down if not below the min actual pixel width of items placed on the page. Once that point is reached the horizontal scroll comes into play. See attached pic. That is a 17" monitor set at 800x600. As you an see IE is almost full screen and the heavy horizontal scroll.
The second image is almost full screen at 1024x768 on the same monitor. The only time I can get the scroll bar to leave is with this resolution and full screen.

This isn't related to your issue, but I went to click on the images you posted and didn't realize that I was not logged in. So, when I clicked, it showed me a login form with my userid in the login form. I thought I was looking at your image, so I was thinking "What the HECK!? Why is he trying to log in as me!?"

I think the across the top or bottom would do the trick, and I see what you are saying, I see it good in IE, I generally run Opera. The wider the better, makes everything look cleaner and like you I just like the wide pattern easy to read and navigate..
