my install

These are a couple of pictures of my install at my apartment in Halifax Nova Scotia. I just bought a house and will be moving in soon, can't wait to hookup my big dish.

Re: my install

The lnbf skew on your Ku dish looks a bit weird...:-), almost vertical. What bird does the dish aim at?

Its not weird. That looks like an old StarChoice California Amplifier LNB; those puppies are polarity optimized at 3:30 or 9:30 o'clock and from the pix it looks like 9:30 to me. Its purrfect :P

Set the skew at 0 when the dish aiming at truesouth. Lnbf will be rotated when the dish moves along the arc. In other words, no need to worry about the skew. The only bird you might not get all the feeds is AMC1 due to its uniqe skew.

You would probably position it so the output connector is pointing perfectly vertical (ie: 3:00 or 9:00 o'clock). I've never tried one of these on a motorized dish so I can't say for sure.
