Anyone on forum using Seamonkey?
I'm just curious whether anyone on the forum is using the SeaMonkey browser.
I've been using Mozilla for years, and it worked pretty well on this forum, except for not being able to use multiple spaces or tabs. However I recently noticed that this forum was apparently changed, and some of the images, particularly the one at the top of the page which has a link that takes you to the Saduon sales area no longer displayed, and in fact I could no longer even get into the sales area without switching browsers.
I *THINK* the missing images was due to too many subdirectories in the link, but I'm not sure. I found that the forum worked pretty well if I switched to FireFox, but I don't like Firefox as much as Mozilla, so I went to upgrade my Mozilla, but found that now it is no longer Mozilla, but something called SEAMONKEY ?!@#$%#$@ . Anyway, I downloaded SeaMonkey, and found that it is a very nice browser, pretty much just like Mozilla, and even has some of the add-ons that I generally install with Mozilla, so I started using it.
HOWEVER, when I go to use it with this forum, it has some severe problems. It DOES display the images at the top of the page (the reason I left Mozilla), however when drafting a POST, such as this, you cannot use ANY of the formatting controls like the image button, the indent, centering, bold, etc, etc things. Also, you can't use any smilies.
Also CR/LF doesn't work at all. I'm only getting them in THIS message because I've added a < and br and / and > manually to generate a linefeed (I separated the characters with ands so it wouldn't just give me a LF).
Anyway, it seems that there is some incompatability between this forum and SeaMonkey. I've looked all through all the settings in options, and can't find any that help. If I change from Enhanced WYSIWYG to Standard Editor, then at least the line-feeds work again, but still no smilies or other editing controls.
SeaMonkey works fine with other forums I'm on, so it seems to be something specific to this Saduon forum.
Any ideas???

Just went back to Mozilla..... SeaMonkey had hijacked all my settings, which is annoying (although it made it easier to get SeaMonkey running).
Strangely, after starting over with fresh settings in Mozilla, now the image at the top works again.? Also, in Mozilla, the smilies work, ie also the formatting controls seem to work too. and linefeeds...
... seem to work.
However I'd really like to figure out what setting is messed up in SeaMonkey, so if anyone has figured out this new browser, please post what you did.

Well FOOEY.
The above, ie that a fresh start with Mozilla made things work again, made me think that the problems were with the Mozilla parameters, and that corrupt parameters got imported into SeaMonkey too.
So I started over with fresh parameters in SeaMonkey. Sure enough, Smilies work, ie And the formatting commands seem to work too . And the linefeeds work again.
So the problem wasn't with the Saduon site, and wasn't with Mozilla or SeaMonkey, it's just that my profile got corrupted somehow.
So nevermind And so far, I really like SeaMonkey... except for the dumb name, although It's going to take a while to get it configured again, since I can't use the profile I HAD been using.
Sorry for wasting bandwidth on a problem that wasn't a problem.
