Chicken coop? I love country living. This would be my next project if I move into the country. Nothing tastes better than organic food and fresh organic eggs.

yep fresh eggs are great we buy them now but soon we will just have to walk out and pick them up. and a fresh chicken in the pot with dumplings isn't bad either.

Honey do's don't get me it is "neighbor do's". Have a 42" tiller that goes on the back of the tractor and this last weekend was "Have you got a minute to till my garden for me?" These aren't your average city gardens. One of them is close to a 1/4 acre. The other just had 18" taken off with a bulldozer. Was like trying to till concrete. Spent most of the weekend on the tractor.

These are guys with big Troy built rear tine tillers. You know the ones, they advertise as one hand operation

I grew up sort of rural environment, we'd pull some device behind tractor, it had a bunch of disks on it - drag it around the plot to dig up the land before using any kind of tiller... set on an angle to grab up the dirt and turn it over in place.

disc?

I dunno, trying to remember stuff from 50 years ago is tough

Yes that would be a disc. I do not have one but would have made the "concrete" much easier to work with.

when the ground is that hard it is better to let it set through the winter the freeze and thaw will soften it right up.

I just spent 12 straight hours at mother-in-law's house, installing around the house drainage system, tyeing in the gutters. What a job.
Moving & shoveling stone, pipe, dirt etc is way too much for this 52yr old.

By the way - building inspectors suck. Even though he knew me and a couple friends were doing the job - "a licensed plumber must do any work or make any connections on city property". Baloney. I had to pay a guy to show up 10 mins before the inspection, and "finish the hookup" (which was none...) $50. And another plumbing permit for him, in addition to the $110 I had to pay this morning. What a racket. It;s no wonder people do work without permits all over the place.
