Any one got their latest Harry Potter book yet?? My kids went to Barnes and Noble last night to pick up their reserved copy. They dressed up like characters in the book. Local TV stations were at the store and the kids were on the 11 o'clock news.

My wife already read 600 pages of the book. Man, it would take me a month to read that many pages..... :lol:

I stoped by my local Barnes & Noble yesterday to see if the new issue of teli-satellite was in. They had a big sign posted on each front entrance door door stating "We have no more copies of the new Harry Potter book, and can not inform you as to the arrival of new stock".
Publishers must be smiling all the way to the bank. :shock:

Well, this morning I asked my wife how many pages she read so far from the new book, she said..Oh I already finished it. Can you believe this?? Now the kids are lining up to read the book... What a magical thing! It is about magic isn't it??

I asked what is so great about this book, and my wife answers, "You really have to read the 1st book to understand what is going on." Well, I would rather see the movie...too busy with the satellite business..

Read somewhere that they are selling about 24,000 copies an hour in England.. WoW :shock:

I gues this is comparable to when I read the 'Lord of the Rings' series, I simply couldn't put it down. Also I read it during the winter when I had much more indoor time.
I saw the first Harry Potter movie. It was ok I gues, but nothing I thought that spectacular. Now the 'Lord of the Rings' movies have been awesome.

It's odd that the Harry Potter line has gained so much popularity after the religous groups gave it such a bashing and wished it to be removed from the public eye.

I guess anytime religious groups get involved in anything they give it more popularity than the intended objective.

I liked the Lord of the Rings too. Haven't read the books but the movies were awesome. When is the second movie going to be released on DVD?

My gues would be around november like last years was. About a month before part 3 comes to theatres. Man I hate waiting like that. :roll:
