So its been A MONTH with the BIG BIRDS and SEND MO MONEY!

Okay, so I got rid of DirecTv and tried this Ku-band stuff. A fun project and really neat channels, yet I dont know 30 different languages. So now I working on getting local (U.S.) channesl for viewing again and this is where this CI CAM slots and SMART CARDS come in. Really mixing my mind up here, with the types of cards, programmers and smart cards themselves. Have had fun with a regular receiver so far, but seems that its costing me money to get what I want. Now I'm considering the C-band stuff and bigger dishes. So am I turning into a DISH JUNKIE!.
Seems the future is going to be hold a few Ku and C band dishes with lots of different receivers in the house. Regardless of all this stuff I know one things, there will be dishes on the house for sure!

You got it!

Hey, nothings free, just the air the waves travel in. I'm pretty sure I'll end up with a CI integrated system and try it out, then I'll eventually get the c-band stuff going. Hey two is better than one. Just one thing I have to remember, I live in a residential ZONE. I still need to get up there and tune that signal 90+, and tie down the cables and LNB. I may try to tilt that lnb a little or bring it in further to the dish to see if signal improves.
Have a Good Day.

I JUST LOST IT!!!!!!

Okay I was BBQing and looking at the Southern Sky. Well I guess a big dish is coming up and why not another Ku-band system. After all three dishes will look better than one. I pretty much directly north of the house faces that way to the back and I can probably get sats about 80° East and unlimited to the West of obstructions. Just wonder if I can make a frame to mount that big dish on the roof. I think they are no more than 200 lbs.
Any ideas?
