Cable vs Satellite

Cable can't compete in price and value for customers, or in choice or signal quality. If you have cable, switch to satellite tv and see what you have been missing.

re: CABLE VS. SATELLITE

I have to second that. I compared prices and channels for a very long time between cable, directv, dishnetwork. Directv offered the best deal. The satellite stuff always appealed to me and now here I am with the self installed tracking satellite. I knew I could do it. Too bad I really cant get to c-band due to the dish size, but its something to work on. South to me is in the back yard and am limited to a BUD unless its on the roof and thats a lot of weight to consider. The ku dish fit nicely and still have lots to learn. I guess the deal with satellite it lots of people dont know all the electronic jumbo behind it so they get cable instead or the now Directv or Dishnetwork. I look forward to this new hobby but its pricey and I'm fixing to get laid off here soon from Philips Semiconductor in san antonio. Sony is also closing by sept of this year. Well it was a good job for the last 7 years, so I will walk out of there just fine.

I took the plunge and now my house looks like a satellite farm. Direct TV, Dish network to receive "sky angel" and the FTA dish. Add to this a ham antenna 65 feet in the air. Really got the neighbors wondering
