bobkat;...been reading some other forums trying to get some info on weather sats;not having any luck.I'm hoping to catch a live feed of the hurricane.any ideas?

well,after a google search,I found more than I ever thought I would.Most are linear s-band on 1500-1600MH.They broadcast at much lower(450MH) .I was hoping someone had a way to link to the bird NASA uses,but it looks very proprietary.They have an uplink in several places,and the footprint is total earth.Seems to be government controlled(of course),and they give specs on all their sats(even down to the launch missile).pretty cool,but unnattainable I think.Gues I'll watch NASA some more.cheers,and thanx!

kat et all;looks like we are gonna be spared a second hit .Probably hitting somewhere north of west palm beack,and that leaves it due west of us with the entire peninsula in between.Could be category 2 by tonite,but could go to 4 as well.Hope you guys got to see some sat views of this thing...AWESOME!!3 times the size of charley...and just as mean!gotta go get hurricane supplies...wouldn't want to run out of olives at a time like this!HAR!!later,

Bobkat;...you are gonna larf yo arse off;guess who owns that yacht that broke loose?...Ivana...as in trump!!HAR!!DA woman should be shot for not getting that thing outta there.turns out my buddy saw her in lauderdale 8) a few months ago getting off the thing...went into some restaurant there.He told me she has been having trouble with it and was trying to sell it for $4mil os so.Betcha it won't bring that now...later.

Kat;...blonde and dangerously stupid.well...getting ready for ivan the terrible(coming soon):anyway...pressed my luck on the last 2,so getting the wife and kid and leaving saturday for drier climate.I'll see ya next week if the lines are working! 8)
