upgrade from the fortec lnb.

Who sells them in the U.S.? I did a quick "Froogle" seach and only found European and Australian dealers.

Also, does "dual polarity" mean one LNB handles both linear and circular?

The lnb is a universal unit like the fortec. Could not find anybody in the US offering it. Purchased my unit from the UK, received in a week via post office. If you want more details send me a PM.
Dual polarity refers to horizontal and verticle.

Does it show a higher "quality" value as compared to the Fortec unit?

What is it's "noise" factor rating. The Fortec (claims) .5 noise units, what's the spec on this one?

Do you get more channels than the Fortec LNB? (lower signal channels that I would miss with the Fortec LNB?

Bottom line on all the questions is help me understand what is the real advantage to spend the money in order to replace the LNB???

Well, only installed yesterday. What I've seen:
eliminated pixelated channels on G10r.
no frozen images and this was with heavy clouds and moderate rain
overall quality signal about 10% better.
some lower output transponders up about 25%
Have not done any power scans yet.
Noticed a slightly faster tuning when changing channels.
This is a .3db unit, white looks good on the fortec dish.

I think the incaom is .3db noise, the lower the number the better, but consider gain as well , which is also important.
I have only heard good things about the invacoms

Invacom LNB

I just got the LNB54. $98 incl shipping. Pricey. Design requires a little more cable to connect to the motor. The white color compliments the Forstec Star dish nicely. It has a translucent amber face and mine was open at the seam on one side when I got it. I snapped it back to place. It seems OK. I worry about its' resistance to the elements though. Is it durable?
