birdog warning light (lnb short)

i am new .this is first time i use birdog ...i tried to catch the signal satellite
amc 15 ...105w....i

my birgdog wanining (LNB SHORT) what that mean ? please help me every one thank you

Check the connectors on the short cable you use between LNBF and BIRDOG. IF there is any strands of wire touching the central wire, then that is creating a short and causing the BIRDOG to shut off automaticaly.

Start by disconnecting the LNBF first and check if you still having the error msg.

I had a similiar thing happen when I was using my birdog recently. I was tuning DN, but everytime I displayed the G11 satellite, my meter would go to short, and shut off. Not on anyother satellite just the galaxy 11. Wierd? The cable is fine. I tried a differrent calbe, but the same thing each time. It is like as if there is a software issue. It started doing this after I downloaded some differrent satellites for FTA from the website.
