Birdog with 101W...

I just got a problem with an installation using my new birdog.
When i was up on the roof, i got the sat 101W and did aimed it properly to the best signal possible(76 db-99 quality), so i thought i would get the channel i wanted. When i got in front of the TV and did all the settings, for my surprise the channel signa i was interested in was very low with the picture freezing a lot. Went up to the roof and play with the dish and reduce the signal a bit from the H polarity and increase the V polarity a bit and went down again. Well it worked.
Now the question is: is it possible to program the birdog to the transponder of our convenience instead of pre-programmed? It would make more sense to do that because no all the trnsponders have the same strenght, if the company who makes the birdog could do that(upgrade the software), it would be good and situations like that wouldn't happen again. I don't think is that hard to do.
Thanks.

I have thought for a while now this would be excellent; however there is no way to select transponders manually in the Birdog. Would be a great feature however.

Well, its usually done accidentally... :mozilla_wink:

You can sometimes increase one polarity at the expense of the other by moving the dish slightly off alignment (mainly with the elevation setting I have found). A warped dish will also bring in strong quality on one polarity while totally trashing the other polarity.
