Hello all...
Today is my first day here on SADOUN. I've seen the SADOUN name many times as I have looked for equipment and I thank you for allowing me the privilege of joining your Forums. I hope someone can help with my problem? I have a BIRDOG V4 PERFECT VISION USB PLUS withDDSI. My problem is that I can not get my Birdog Meter to shutdown? I select the "OFF" button and another menu with options, the first option is "Exit". A "right arrow" selects that function. All appears to go well as the meter indicates: "Shutting down". Now the Birdog Logo almost fully disappears, but hangs half way through the Birdog image. That is half the Birdog Logo remains and the Birdog remains powered up. My meter never fully shuts down until I disconnect the battery. In all other respects the meter appears to function as intended. I recently updated to a few new satellites and hoped that might fix the problem, but updating did not. Again, the meter charges and responds as intended ~ my Birdog simply refuses to power-down. Anyone have any ideas or fixes? Thanks all! Wiz555 |

Welcome to the forums. It is a pleasure to have you on board.
As for your BIRDOG, what you describe is abnormal. I would recommend you call the 800 number that you see on the meter. Call them on Monday and ask to speak to BIRDOG tech support. You may have to return the unit to the service center for repairs. If your meter less than a year old and you still have the receipt, it maybe a warranty issue. Best of luck to you and your installation business.

Thank you!
Sadoun,
I thank you for your very rapid reply... I was afraid yours would be the only solution. I will put the call to Tech Support on the top of my do-list for Monday. Many thanks! Wiz555 Quote:
