Birdog Firmware Software

Does anyone know where to get the firmware software to upgrade the flash memory for the Birdog Meter? I have version 2.01 and would like to get the extra features available with the version 2.5

All versions of the firmware will find Telstar 5. Look for IA5 in the list - that's Telstar 5.

Hello,

I've hit IA 5(galaxy 25/telstar 5) but I'm getting 7% signal quality and if I really becareful I can hit 10%.

Is this normal quality?

I'm located in Washington DC area.

I seemed to recall seeing something on the thread about calibrating the Birdog to KU band... Does anyone know if this need be done?

You can't flash a BIRDOG to update the f/w. Each new F/W release is coupled with a hardware update as well. The software is not compatible across different versions.

You should consider buying the newest model the BirdogUSB 3.0.

Pros:

• Better Battery Capacity
• Double memory capacity
• USB update, so it will work with a laptop or PC
• Compliant with DishProPlus LNBFs (with a receiver connected to one of the LNBF ports)

I agree, the new Birdog 3.0 is much better with nice imporvements. For software updates consult your manual. If you want to upgrade to the better and newer version we have some great deals and nice bundles that can save you a lot of money. Check out the website and follow the link for Signal Meters.
