Birdog v3.0 and NIMIQ 2
im reading about some people having problems finding NIMIQ2 using the Birdog..is there any truth in this? I did however find truth in pointing at 110W and having the meter say "FOUND", when I had NIMIQ 2 selected, and not echostar 8.
So is it safe to assume I need to just use a receiver to find the signal for NIMIQ2? Im using the latest sat files from the website also....HELP!

Same here
I am also having a problem finding 82W. I have the following:
Birdog v2.25
Sadoun Satellite Motor SM3D22
Fortec 30" dish
Sadoun KUL1 Dual LNBF
On the birdog.tv site I see the download files. However, there is no Ku file for 82W. Below that, under "Named Services" is "BR ExpressVu Nimiq-2 82W" and I have downloaded this file into the Birdog.
There is a note I read that if I am using a round (?) LNB and try to tune in a Ku satellite it will not work.
Does this mean that if I have a Ku LNB, I can not identify a "BR" round satellite?
How do I find this bird? This is my true south satellite for setting up this motorized dish.
I looked through the rest of the list and there is no other listing for 82W.

Update
I read here that one of the moderators tuned in Nimiq 91 for Nimiq 82. That started me thinking. So I tried to find 91 with my 30"/Ku LNB by moving the dish around by hand. I get a strong signal (205) in the area I think the satellite should be, but no lock on 91.
I then go and get an old DishNet/DTV dish and LNB I have lying around and take it up to the roof. Without even mounting it, I connect it to the birdog and point it in the direction I think the satellite should be and.... FOUND!
So I'm thinking there is something wrong with my LNB. I pick another satellite from the list and try to find it in the sky. I did this by finding another strong signal and then scrolling through the list on the birdog. BAM... I lock on to a different satellite..... FOUND.
So, The birdog is working fine. The 30"/LNB is working fine and the signal from 91 is working, BUT I cannot find 91 on my 30"/Ku LNB.
I am going to try loading up the universal LNB files and see if I can find anything. Unfortunately, 82 is not on the universal list either. 82 is actually the bird I am trying to find.

Is 82 the only one south?
I just went to one of my favorite sites for satellite info:
Global Satellite Chart--Geo-Orbit Quick-Look--Western Hemisphere--C/Ku-Band Footprints/Coverage, Specs (Design/Transponder/Bandwidth/Launch), Programming, Orbit Position/Inclination, Links
Here they have information about the satellites that I find useful. I also notice that Nimiq 82W is not listed. That begs the question "Is Nimiq 82 still there?"
If not, then what is my southern most satellite now? I'm at 80.3W.
Can I use Satcom K2 at 80.95W?
