Angry Birdog 3.0 USB

Hi Guys,
I've a question for you. I sepnt more then 4 hours trying to catch the INTELSAT 97w using a 90cm dish...but no chance !!!

I am really tired from this dish, I bought the best dish meter but I still have a trouble.

I am using a standard linear LNB.
I load the KV and KU files on my BD3.

Hope that sbdy can give me a suggestion.

Thanks in advance

An expensive satellite meter is NOT necessary to aim your dish. I did it just using the TV and watching the signal bar. Don't give up. Give us your location, zip code?, equipment receiver?, motor or not?

Assuming your have a good LNBF and the datafile is up to date, play with your meter by trying to catch AMC4 for example using the same LNBF and dish. Once you identify AMC4 (101 West), move the dish slightly to the East and check for signal.

If you have one of the more modern receivers, then all the TP info has been preloaded into the receiver. Just watch the signal strength bar at the bottom. Some TP are weaker than others, do you have a particular channel you want to watch?

For 97W, it's better to use the meter from the receiver. My Birdog 2.5 gives me quality signal only half of the time.

Use TP 12177 first, then when you have highest quality change to the Transpodent you want to watch and adjust the quality signal again.

Hope it helps.

By the way, the system (Satcruiser plus, Winegard 76cm dish, single standard LNB) I bought from you -Sadoun- 7years ago to catch 97W VTV4 is still working.
