Thai channels on IA5 in IPTV bouqet need manual PID entry?

A friend's receiver is able to see the other Thai channels in the IPTV bouqet. I can only see the music video channel (MV3?) in the same bouqet.

I can see TGN, Thai Asia, NAT and MV3. Do the "other" Thai channels in the IPTV bouqet require manual PID entry in order to view them?

I have an old Prosat receiver and it has no manual PID entry.

    Thanks for your help.

Nope.. pretty sure those other Thai ones are simply Scrambled...

The ones you can see are FTA...

Why and how your friend there is able to see those - who knows.. and is another issue..

sometimes though Lao TV and LaoBC go in the clear there also.. - but those are not Thai...

    IA5: IPTV News FTA?

Can someone confirm IPTV News from the ABS-CBN bouquet does not require manual PID entry?

My receiver (Prosat 3500) sees this as a scrambled channel, yet my friend's
receiver (Atlanta DTH) sees it w/o problems. This is a Thai channel (ITV) that I cannot see.

    Thanks.

IPTV News is scrambled with IRDETO 2. Why your friend's receiver can view this channel is interesting and probably shouldn't be discussed here. Perhaps that channel goes FTA sometimes. At one time I believe all the IPTV channels were free. Darkman can verify. He is our resident FTA guru... :mozilla_laughing:

It's scrambled.. occasionally it goes in the clear.. but most of the time it's scrambled (that channel)

No Manual PID entry is needed.... nor will help...

Well i confirmed the friend's receiver is not silver bullet or whatever because he can't see the IPTV Drama and IPTV Variety channels either, as the screen displays a message saying they are subscription channels. He says that he's not subscribed to the IPTV News channel either.

So, the mystery continues...why is IPTV News FTA for him but scrambled for me.

IPTV shopping is fta most of the time lately.

the one he says IPTV News.. - bring / get the PID Values for that one from your friend..

Then we can compare and see what's what..

cuz names does't mean jack sometimes.. one can name the channel whatever he desires if wanted :mozilla_wink:

Obviously there is some confusion here.. so better to provide PID values in this case...

The EPG says IPTV News channel but the logo on the screen says ITV.

I checked Lyngsat and confirmed it says there is IPTV News and ITV in the ABS-CBN bouquet.

We both can receiv the T Channel (screen logo) but the EPG identifies it as IPTV Shopping.
