OK, found that my friend has a Nagravision looking card in his CAM. The card looks almost like the Dishnetwork card. So it's solved, he just has the
card and is not subscribed to any of their services.

I guess they did not encrypt the IPTV News channel but the others are, so as long as you bought the unit from them (IPTV distributors), it comes with a Nagravision/Irdeto card.

Then it must be Irdeto encrypted.. cuz it's not Nagravision...

Lyngsat says so too - have a look at 12090 H there:

This IRD is my first Dive into FTA. I had to manually enter DL frequencies and now I have about 60 Video Channels and 30 Music channels on T5. about half of them are scrambled. I left the smart card in the IRD. THis Unit was originally setup to receive filipino TV channels and was a cast off. I have been trying to find some other firmware for this box that would support GOTO x and Motor as well as a Blind scan feature. any help would be appreciated.

HI everyone, new to this web page, been testing for 2yrs now.
Can anyone send me into the right direction in this question?
I've been doing a thorough search on this and can not find.

Thai tv network is using irdeto box w/ smart card.
I hear that you can you can hash irdeto1 not irdeto2.
Irdeto 2 is coming in the near furture.
I hear that we can hash irdeto smart card.
please correct me if I am wrong.
