Did you lost the MBC (ANA) channel signal?

Hi there, I’m experiencing difficulty in receiving the Arabic channel ANA (MBC) since three weeks. Actually I’ve lost the signal quality completely. All other Arabic channels are perfect.

Do you guys have the same problem?

Did they change the frequency?

Is it on Telstar 5?? If it is , I don't even wanna know about it.... :? T5 is having "issues" it would seem. I'll check this channel with the store demo unit in a sec and get back to you.

Its on Telstar 5; transponder 8; 11,874 MHz, HOR, 22,000 SR.

Coming in fine here.

Hi poeple,

I live in Quebec City and I have the same problem than Khalid; I lost the signal of MBC, Libya and Yemen (Freq 11874) two weeks a go.

MBC is also lost from the Atlantic Bird 1 at 12.5°W !!
I used to get it there with a very good picture and sound better than the one on Telstar 5.

I finally got it in Telstar 5, the problem was that the dish needs adjustment. I just moved the dish little bed further to the east and I got it. Although that the sound is not clear 100% however, the picture is very good. I also noticed that the frequency is 11867 not 11874.

For those who have the same problem, try to set the frequency to 11867 and move the dish very slowly to the east while you are watching the signal quality until you get at least 45%.
