ViewSat 2000/SG2100. Unable to see Arabic Channel

Hello:

I have a ViewSat 2000 with sg2100 motor. My connection seems fine to IntelSat America 5. I am even receiving some channels (mostly horse racing). However I am unable to receive any of the Arabic channels.

My signal is around 87, so not too bad. I am even getting the NASA channel from EchoStar 6,8. However searching on most other SAT fails (even is quaility is around 70-80).

Suggestions?

Hmmm.. Horse Racing on IA5... - strange (don't even recall it there.. unless on some Sport channel maybe .. such as Abu Dhabi Sports maybe)

Not sure about your setup there...

Go to menu>installation>manual scan. Select frequency 12146 and check to see if you have signal there. If you do then press OK will scan the Arabic channels. if not then you need to align your dish or change your diseqC settings.

Sounds like your dish is looking at 79 when you think it is looking at 97.
