no you would need a subscription for those
Hi everyone. I went yesterday to a local middle eastern shop that sells just about anything, including satellite systems. Anyway, He had his tv on and on it it was iqra, aljazeera, mbc, lbc and other channels. i asked him if he had the dish network package, he said no. He said that he has someone that sets it up
for $$650. Ouch. I went outside to look at his dish setup, It looked pretty much like the regular FTA dish setup. Actually, he had two dish set ups. 1 for FTA and another for the mentioned above channels. except the latter had a different LNB? I guess my main question is, is it possible to get those channels without dish network subscription?

well, you can get almost everything if you don't care about the law. But if you want to get services legally, then it might be good idea to do it the right way. Those channels you mention, e.g. Iqra, Aljazeera, the only company that offers those channels is Dishnetwork, and it needs to be described to get them. So they are not free.
However that store owner did it, I don't thinkg its legal.
They do it illegally ,that is the end of it .no hacking talk
No hack talk here. Anyway, thanks for your replies guys
