I have Fortec Star Dish and Lifetime Receiver pointed to 97W or Telstar 5. But I can't receive the Aljazeera Channel, why? Can somebody tell me what might be The problem.

they are in test mode right now so it comes and goes.

to get it you have to enter the frq. mauually and then scan,the freq. 11998 h , 20000.

How can I blind Scan it? and How can I do the frequency manually?

Just add "11998 - H - 20000" manually to your Transpoder List.. on the Install Menu somewhere maybe (do not have Fortec.. so not sure exactly)... - but you should be able to do it manually somehow (if your receiver doesn't have a Blind Scan capability, or if you don't know how to Blind Scan your receiver, etc)

The Lifetime doesn't have blind scan, but the Lifetime Ultra does. But with either you can do a transponder scan if you have the transponder in the list. If that transponder isn't in the list, there is an Edit satellite/transponder menu item which will allow you to add a "new" transponder. Enter the data above for IA5, then you can go back to the TP scan item, choose that transponder and do a FTA scan.

If you do not have a blind search function in your system. Do a manual scan by inputing the information:
11998 H 20000

You should get it... Good Luck
