Available Arabic channels in the USA

Arabic channels are available as follows:
  • Arabic packs through Dish Network (monthly subscription required), or
  • Free to Air Arabic channels available on IA5 (no monthly subscription required)
Click here to learn more about these offers and what equipment you need to buy to receive those channels:
http://sadoun.com/Sat/Channels/Arabi...V-Channels.htm

BTW, it is best to get both systems since the channels are not the same between the two options.

Just a quick note. there are some Arabic channels on Hispasat out at 30 degrees. I believe a sat in the 50's also has a few channels. Going just from memory but perhaps it was Amazonas I seen them on.

How to get the Moroccan Channel: AlMaghribia?

Hi All,

I have a Samsung Digital Receiver DSB-4700F, and pointing the dish to InteAmerica5. I have most all the Arabic channels including 2M, except the other Moroccan Channel: Almaghribia. I had it before, someone who install it for me enter some frequencies to get it, but now I have done the installation again, but I lost it and seems that I can't get it back.

Can someone tell me exactly what I need to do in order to get that channel back.

Cheers!

Thank you.

Elmajed.

I think you need to enter a new transponder into your receiver.

11783 V
SR 25000
Scan that freq and you ought to get it.

Hi, I have the same problem as El majeed. I followed you advise shown below:<<Press Menu, Go to installation, Enter password, Go to manual scan, scroll down to the second line and press the right arrow until you see NEW. Go down to the third line and enter 11789 using your remote. Go down one more line (SR)and enter 25000. Down to polarity and leave it at Vertical. Press OK. One the receiver done scanning press ok again. Exit the menu and look for the channel.>>
The last step One the receiver done scaning , pressOK: The receiver never stops scaning, it just stays fluctuating between 30 and 40% at signal strength. Also, I see motor Status: stop ??
Could you help with this problem?
Thanks
Jay

OK I got a 36'' Dish and was able to pickup 97% signal strength vertical on a birdog but the problem is I only able to pick up signal for few frequancies like
Telstar 12 at 15.0°W - LyngSat

11806 V 7596-3/4
11959 H 8138-3/4

But the main frequancy I need 11714 V 14400-3/4 I can't get ,,

Could it be the dish size?
Could it be the LNB?

I spent over 2 hours with no luck. Am I missing smthg? ,please advice.

not all TP uses the same power so this TP may be weaker then the others and may required a larger dish.

So you think I will be able to get all the frequancies with a larger dish?

How big you suggest?

no way of knowing untill you try it. if I was going to get a new dish I would go with nothing less than 8.5' that way you can receive C and KU band freq.

Abu Dhabi Sports

Abu Dhabi sports stopped broadcasting. All I see is a still picture with Abu Dhabi sport logo. Does any one know what happened to it; did they change the frequency or they cut the broadcast for good. By the way I’m in California.
