That is the nature of FTA channels.
There are no guarantees that a channel will remain free to air for any period of time. :mozilla_frown:

In general, Arabic FTA channels are in the increase. For example 4 years ago there were only about 6 FTA TV ARABIC channels. Today there are about 20 FTA Arabic TV channels and more than 20 FTA Radio Arabic channels on IA5. :mozilla_laughing:

BTW, it is best to get both systems since the channels are not the same between the two options.

Just a quick note. there are some Arabic channels on Hispasat out at 30 degrees. I believe a sat in the 50's also has a few channels. Going just from memory but perhaps it was Amazonas I seen them on.

Lyngsat's latest update shows "Al Hayat on Telstar 12"...

and by going there .. To Telstar 12 link:

Al Hayat, mentioned above shows FTA there.. along with many other channels on various TPs there.. many more arabic channels, some chinese, some greek, etc..

Not sure if or who can get T12 though in N.America...
