Ramadan Programs on Arabic and Iranian TVs

Arab and Iranian television programmers make a special effort to put on wonderful shows during the month of Ramadan (starting 11/6/02 - 12/5/02), to help people pass the time before iftar (breakfast) and then again into the wee hours of the morning until "sohour." (last meal before fasting for the day). Muslims worldwide have for decades been treated to TV programs produced especially for the month. Soap operas, quiz and variety shows are popular, as well as religious programs such as:

~ Quranic tafseer by internationally renowned scholars
~ Inspiring hadiths commentary from the life of prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
~ Interviews describing how Muslims of different ethnicities observe this month
~ News and tales about a variety of food & health topics
~ Educational and entertaining puzzles
~ Quizzes and games

Don't let this month pass you without enriching yourself with a great cultural and religious experience. If you don't have a satellite system, buy yours today and have it installed before the month starts.
