I installed my dish(90 cm) and the fortec star receiver on my back yard using a bucket with concrete inide and a pole from Lows. the first try I have to my receiver was with a little direct tv dish and I received EchoStar 6/8 at 110.0°W and fter Nimiq 1(I mostly watched Vrak TV from Canada and listend to Radio France International) and echosatr 119 also I was able to receive EchoStar 3 at 61.5°W .
I used a signal meter so I got Telstar5 from the first move by just adjusting the elevation and moving the dish for few seconds(I don't like using compasses
) and becuase I have the
european version of the Fortec I had to program my receiver for the North American satellites. After the T5 I locked into Amc3, Amc 5 ,Satmex5 , Telsatr 4 ,Telstar 6, Galaxy 3C ,AMC 4. I had hard time getting the Galaxy 10R , but the problem was resolved by moving the whole bucket 3 feet from the first place. I got all the local channels, Italians ones , Europeans .... But there the Marco polo and INN - Italian Network News were having technical difficulties at that time.
My next discovery was Hispasat 1 c ( very nice pictures and all the channels) very easy satellite to get but the dish had to be moved almost 60 degrees from T5 and the elevation is lower 15 degrees . I have 4 channnels from Spain( Canal Gallego, Canal Catalan , Canal del Pais Vasco, Canal Real Madrid y Canal Canarias ( the Canarias channel broadcast from 7 PM to Midnight Estern Time) also I Got three other channels. Abu Dabi , Syria and MTA(Muslim Channel Alhamadya) but Abdu dabi , Syria Cannel and Real Madrid are zommed and I can't even see their logos and the pictures are little bit slow( I don't know what the problem but I suspect that the Tv ratio for those channels dosen't match
mine. I like the quality of Picture and sound in Hispasat and a lot of better than what I get with T5. I am going to try Telsatr 12 because of my interst on the
Arabic and Italian channels even though the elevation is very low.
So this my story with my system and I am enjoying my experience as I speak many languages too . Just a world citizen

That's great to tune in so many satellites. I must play around some more with the motor and see what I've been missing.
