Motorized System

can someone tell me what is the use of having the motorized system since there is only one FTA satellite that broacasts a huge amount of FTA channels, and that is IA5. So if I get the motorized system, what would I used it for, to capture what kind of channels. Any advice is appreciated.

just to name a few lots of feeds on g10, wb, upn, univision. ia6 has abc news feeds,and feeds from mexico,amc 3 has pbs feeds and so on. so you see there is alot of channels on the other sats. :mozilla_smile:

Oh what a hassle. How am I suppose to know the Azimuth and Elevation for all of these satellites. Where am I going to find that info from?

What if I tell you that you can even get (with another Circular Lnb) GolTv which is FTA on 110. I you are soccer addicted, that channel is 4 u :mozilla_smile:

It would have been a lot more easier if you guys be more specific in your forum help. Mr. dragon, you gave me the sadoun website to look for the lnb you're talking about. There tons of items in sadoun's site, how do u want me to find it when I'm not good at searching things

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I really appreciate your helpm.
Can you tell me more about the invacom lnb and how is used with the fortac star lnb. do I have to aim the dish to another satellite to get the other channels+GOLTV. The more specific you are, the Less confuse I'll be.

you will not need the fortec lnb. the invacom will replace it it gets circular feeds and linear feeds. yes you will have to be able to move dish to other sats to receive different channels. :mozilla_smile:

u want help, but let us know about your setup in that case ?
do you have a linear lnb (fortec or whatever), u have to know what you have first.

On my setup i had a standard universal linear lnb. so i got a circular lnb (for 10$) and i tied it close to the linear. Then i got a diseqc switch that will switch btween the 2 lnbs, and i installed it betwen the lnbs and the receiver.

now the goltv is on dish 110. It is the only FTA on that sat. using a motorised setp, you have first to find the dish 110 position, and then you have to associate on the receiver that position with the switch port for the circular lnb.
