The sky here are not generous!!

I just came back from Morocco and satellite there are loaded with hunderds of channels but why here in the Americas we get just dust!
I loved Nilesat, it has all kind of channels and very high picture quality.
I used a fortec Star 768 with a Multisytem tv using the scart to connect them. Picture looks almost a high defintion. I just relized the lower quality and resolution of NTSC signals.
Anyway, it was a good experince to see what other satellite are there and what all the channels they have

Rumores talk about a new Moroccan channel mixing RTM and 2M to be soon launched. The problem for launching a Moroccan channel is the cost of sending it through 2 satellites to arrive to North America. The Moroccan channels are beamed to Europe, North Africa and the Middle East because most satellite there cover the area with one beam. EX hot bird.

For them to send the signal, they have to send it to an Atlantic satellite and from there the signal will have to go up to another satellite covering the USA. Just like the Rominan Channel, it's beamed to the Eat coast through Intelsat 903 at 34.5°W and from there the signal goes up to Telstar 5. Somtimes they send a signal through cable like the Arabsat bouqet on Telstar 5 or Hispasat 1C.another solution is to sedn the signal directly from Morocco to the Americas through an Atlantic satellite but with low symbol rate and with a coverage of a part of the USA(ex, Hispasat) and also with low elevation! and low elevation meanes a difficult installation.
It's all about $

Well, i don't think that sudan algeria, tunisia etc... have more $ !!!
algeria and tunisia are present in europe and north africa AND in NA.
so they are doing the minimum for them people, while MOROCCAN JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT MOROCCAN PEOLPE IN NA. THEY WILL STAY LIKE THIS FOR A LONG TIME ...
dozens of petitions are signed and hundred of claims are sent and NOTHING DONE, JUST ON MOROCCAN WAY !!!

COME ON, realy a shame.

In plus, a lot of arabic channel viewers in NA are moroccan ...

So it is not about $, but it is about NOT CARING ABOUT YOUR PEOPLE OUTSIDE MOROCCCO THAT's IT.
