Problem viewing Al Jazeera

I have been able to view al Jazeera fine for many months, but it seems to have gone dead this week. I also cannot view Russia Today. Does anyone know what is going on with IA 5? Thank you.

just fine for me..

I last checked these two channels last weekend. Both were clear for me over the weekend. Sounds like your alignment may have been pushed off by the wind or some monkey.

Hi,

I am getting strong signals from about half of the Galaxy 25 tp's, but the al Jazeera and Russia Today ones are not coming in strongly. I am receiving the one billion Persian channels based out of California on Galaxy 25. Is misalignment a possibility since I am receiving some channels but not all? Thank you.

Just check and both channels are comming in strong and clear. you didn't say what size dish you are using if it is smaller than a 36" dish this could be your problem as some transponders on this sat is weaker than others.and to answer your question you can be off alignmaent a little and still receive some of the stronger transponders.

I have a 36" dish with Mercury II receiver. I am located in Texas. Fashion TV, al Jazeera, and Russia Today were my 3 favorite channels, and unfortunately none of them are being received. I am receiving lots of other channels, but I don't speak Pashto, Farsi, or Laotian. I will check the alignment. What device is the best to do this job?

Just try BLIND SEARCH again and see if you get them back. Otherwise, just check the signal/quality for the transponder and adjust the dish alignment slightly.
