Advice needed on motorized dish and GlobeCast

I'm very new to satellites and any advice on the best way to go would be very appreciated. I've decided to buy a motorized 36" dish (MKit2) from Sadoun to save the hassle of adding a motor later. I've been considering the GlobeCast reciever to start out with basically because they offer Bridges TV free along with the Arabic channels on Galaxy 25. These channels are my only reason for a satellite to begin with (JumpTV is getting too expensive).

I wanted to be sure this motorized dish would be compatible. Or should I opt for a different motor or LBNF? I intend to add another receiver later to view other satellites more easily.

I was also wondering if there is anything additional I should purchase along with a DIY self install kit? My husband is going to do the install on the roof.

One last question . Are there any fta channels that broadcast Egyptian League football games?

Globecast receiver is not a good choice for a motor. This receiver is designed for G25 only. The tuner is very weak. Also you might need to program additional satellites in. If you're interested in Arabic channels then you may not need a motor at all.
ART which is offered by dishnetwork broadcasts sports from Egypt.

I have motorized 30" dish and two receivers: Fortec Ultra and Globecast (Yes, I subscribed to russian channels).
When I need to watch Globecast, I use Fortec Ultra to move dish to 97W position, then I turn it off, then I go to garage, where I have an A/B switch, to change signal route from one room to another. So I switch it to the room, where Globecast receiver is, then I turn it on.
The better way is to connect Globecast receiver to "LNBf OUT" port of Ultra, but this is for one room only.
I am thinking of buying a separate stationary dish for GlobeCast to eliminate the switch. Also, Globecast recommends 36" (or their own elliptical) dish for better reception. I am lucky not having too much rain here and my reception is good even with 30" dish and Globecast weak tuner. Globecast receiver will not move dish, but will passively work with any satellite, not only with G25. I have set it up to work with G23 and AMC3 as well, but it does not work with AC3 audio tracks, like Ultra.

Dear Yasmeen

You don't need the GlobeCast receiver to watch the Arabic channels since all are Free To Air and do not require subscription.

The Fortec CLASSIC NA or Mercury II is all you need. However, if Bridges TV requires subscription, then a Globecast Receiver is necessary. But like the other posters mentioned, this receiver is not compatible with a DiSEqC motors.

You may consider a Dish Network subscription to Bridges TV also.

How cool, boroda!

Your English is great btw.. - good for you

How many russian channels do you subscribe on Globecast? .. or all of them maybe (as a package deal maybe.. including Israel Plus)?

How about any Ukrainian channels (actually i think there is only one that is left now and being offered, 1+1 International.. isn't it..) .. you sub Ukrainian too .. or probably not?
