What transponders are you looking for on AMC3? Maybe you're trying to tune one that isn't active?

The 12180V SR=30000 transponder is working.
Also, the 12145H SR=4340 is working. Most likely, the
11716H SR=4859 is probably working , although I haven't
tried that one for a few weeks.
Make sure that you have the LO freq set properly for that sat.

What I meant when I said make sure it is set "for that sat", was in the setup for that sat, not that different sats would have a different LO freq. The LO freq should be printed on your LNBF. Like Rainman said, 10750 is right for a standard, and 9750/10600 is typical for a universal. But get it off the lnbf, and it should be the same on the setup for all your sats, unless you're using a switch to select different lnbfs or something.
I just thought that perhaps on that one satellite you might have accidently left the default in there or something. Also, the fact that you didn't know what transponder you were looking for made me think you were just using whatever default transponders came in the memory of your receiver, instead of using an active transponder.

If you are using the M1 kit from Sadoun your lnbf is a universal lnbf not standard. The setting should be either 10600 or UNI

it could receive some signals. check your lnb it will tell you the lo on it wheither it is 10750 standard or 9750 10600 universal what ever it says on the lnb set it to that in the receiver.

Re what would it do if the LO was wrong, it depends on how you scan the channels in. If you use a power scan (blind scan), it will still find channels, but as Rainman said, it will often miss some. Also, when it scans in the channels, they will be listed with the wrong frequencies.
If you are scanning via a transponder scan, then it generally won't find anything at all, unless you get lucky.
