Talking about IA5:I noticed the music channels are back.
PBS seems to be gone from AMC3.

I'm still getting the PBS mux on 12180 (still can't hear 'em!), but couldn't get Montana PBS on 12145 this a.m. Hmmm...

I'm still getting all 3 DVB transponders (12180, 12145, 12128) just fine.

EDIT:
Interestingly some of the PBS DCII channels have a slate up this morning verifying that they are leaving DCII, and they refer you to the web site mentioned in the other recent thread on this subject.

not showing nothing about it on their web site.this sat only a couple years old so it should be ok for a while unless it develops technical problems.

Oh... okay....

Say I noticed a lot of empty slots on the western end of the Clarke Belt, the last being at 148w, but why dont they have more birds up around 160w to 130w for example, instead of bunching them up on the eastern end of the belt, around 60w? (heh)...

I think that the demand for satellite slots is at longitudes where they can be viewed from anywhere in North America. That pretty much goes as far a the 137 slot. Past that, I think the slots are sort of special purpose slots that serve Alaska/Hawaii. Someone who invests the money to put a satellite up there certainly wants that sat to be visible to the entire US.

Also, some Atlantic sats, like 30W, are visible from both America and Europe, another reason, why there are so many of them in East direction.
